Frequently asked questions about tattoo removal
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the ink, colours, depth and age of the tattoo. Most need several sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream and an air cooler keep it comfortable. Most patients feel a quick snapping sensation.
What happens after a session?
The area may be red, slightly swollen or frosted white for a short time, and may form a light crust that heals within about a week.
Will it leave a scar?
The risk is low when aftercare is followed. Avoid picking at any crust.
Can every colour be removed?
Dark colours respond best. Green, blue and some brighter colours can be harder to clear.
