Who Can Benefit
PicoWay supports keloid and raised-scar treatment by fading the red or brown colour and helping remodel the scar’s collagen. For most keloids it works best alongside steroid injections, which flatten the scar. Our Keloid Treatment page explains the full approach.

We postpone treatment during pregnancy, with a fresh tan, or if the scar is infected or broken.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can PicoWay remove a keloid?
Not on its own. It improves colour and texture, while steroid injections do most of the flattening. Large keloids may need both.
Can keloids come back?
Yes. Keloids can recur, especially on the chest, shoulders and earlobes. We plan follow-up visits to catch any regrowth early.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually 3 to 5, spaced about 4 weeks apart, often alternating with injection visits.
Does it hurt?
We apply numbing cream first and use an air cooler during treatment. Most patients feel quick snaps, like a rubber band.
Is it safe for darker skin?
Yes. Picosecond pulses produce less heat than older lasers, which lowers the risk of new pigmentation around the scar.
