Can PicoWay remove acne scars completely?
In many cases, yes, but it usually takes more sessions or a combination of treatments, depending on how deep the scars are. Most patients see marks fade and texture soften over a course of 3 to 6 sessions.
Will it help my red or brown acne marks?
Yes. Pigment marks often respond faster than scars, sometimes within 2 to 3 sessions.
Can I have it while I still have breakouts?
Yes, depending on how severe the breakouts are. Mild breakouts can be treated alongside PicoWay; severe or cystic acne is usually calmed first with an acne facial or acne injection.
Is there downtime?
Mild redness usually settles within a few hours to 2-3 days. Most patients return to work the same day.
Does it suit Asian skin?
Yes. Picosecond pulses create less heat than older lasers, which lowers the risk of new pigmentation.
What should I avoid afterwards?
Direct sun, scrubs and strong actives for about a week. Use a gentle moisturiser and SPF 50 daily.
