PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

Treatment Overview

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a second-generation regenerative treatment derived from your own blood. Unlike PRP, PRF is processed without anticoagulants, allowing platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors to form a fibrin matrix.

This fibrin network acts as a natural scaffold, slowly releasing growth factors over time, resulting in stronger collagen stimulation, scar remodeling, and skin healing. PRF is especially effective for atrophic acne scars, poor skin texture, and loss of elasticity.

Key benefits

Fat Reduction
Reduces depressed acne scars (rolling, shallow boxcar)
Prevent Acne
Sustained release of growth factors for longer-lasting results compared to PRP
Skin Tone
Improves skin texture, elasticity, and thickness
Collagen Remodeling
Stimulates natural collagen and elastin production
Calms Skin
100% autologous (from your own blood), safe, and biocompatible
Minimal Downtime
Minimal downtime with natural results

how it works

  • A small amount of your blood is drawn and spun at a lower centrifuge speed compared to PRP.
  • This preserves more platelets, white blood cells, and stem-cell-like cells within the fibrin clot.
  • When injected into acne scars, PRF forms a 3D fibrin scaffold that:
    • Releases growth factors slowly over 7–10 days
    • Stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen
    • Improves scar depressions and overall skin firmness
  • This gradual healing response makes PRF highly effective for long-term scar remodeling

Treatment Process

1
Consultation & Assessment – Our doctor examines scar type (rolling, boxcar, atrophic) and suitability for PRF.
2
Blood Draw – A small sample of blood is collected.
3
Processing – The sample is centrifuged at a controlled speed to form PRF (no anticoagulants added).
4
Injection – PRF is injected into scarred areas
5
Recovery – A soothing mask is applied. Minimal redness or swelling may occur but typically resolves in 24–48 hours.
